OUR STORY

McCall Collective Brewing was founded from a shared passion for beer and a love of entertaining. My husband Chris and I, having dreamed of entrepreneurship for years, found our inspiration during a visit to Lagunitas and Russian River in California in 2012. We envisioned a brewery that felt like a gathering at your best friend's house, where great drinks and food are enjoyed in a comfortable, homey environment. Matt's extensive experience, including a Fall spent at Angry Orchard's production plant in upstate New York in 2016 and a Head Brewer position in Brooklyn, NY, has equipped him with the skills to ensure our beers are always fresh and delicious. At McCall Collective Brewing, we aim to create a welcoming space where friends and family can come together to enjoy quality beer, delicious food and time spent together.

  • Founder and CEO

My husband and I love entertaining, so we see the brewery as a way to gather friends and family for great drinks and food in a cozy, homey environment. We want you to feel like you're at your best friend's house, enjoying good company, food, and football. I grew up 20 minutes south of the Lehigh Valley and am proud to call this area home, with its proximity to Philadelphia and New York City, the PPL Center, Coca-Cola Park, excellent restaurants, farms, breweries, and an unmatched sense of community.

I graduated from Penn State with a degree in Communications/Media and have worked in fundraising, marketing, sales, and management for multiple Fortune 500 companies. These experiences have provided invaluable lessons and growth, which I am excited to apply to our family business, McCall Collective Brewing. On a personal note, I have two young daughters who have taught me patience and love. I love fall for its weather and pumpkin-flavored everything, including beer. My passion for beer began in college while waitressing and has grown ever since.

  • Co-Founder and CFO

I was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, attended Northampton High School, and have proudly called Allentown home for the past six years. After high school, I lived in NYC, graduating from Fordham University with a degree in Economics. I've long aspired to open a business, and my high school senior project focused on the risks and opportunities of starting a small restaurant. Since Kaitlin and I started dating, we've explored various entrepreneurial opportunities. Our 2012 visit to Lagunitas and Russian River in California cemented our decision to center our business around beer.

Besides managing the financials at the brewery, I keep busy working full-time as a Finance Manager at Amazon and part-time as a REALTOR. My two little girls keep me on my toes, and I'm a diehard Philly sports fan—Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, and Flyers, in that order. I love how beer brings people together, transforming breweries into community hangout spots for families, friends, and coworkers. I'm excited to be part of our community, providing a friendly environment where people can relax, enjoy good beer, grab a bite, and escape life for a while.

  • Head Brewer

Matt began his brewing journey with a degree in Culinary Arts in 2008, working in kitchens across the Lehigh Valley, including the Hotel Bethlehem and the Apollo Grill. Seeking a more flexible schedule, he transitioned to retail, working at Best Buy and Target while learning the service side of the industry. In 2011, Matt received a HomeBrew kit for Christmas and quickly applied his culinary skills, eventually building a complete home brew system. Realizing his passion for brewing, he joined Sam Adams as a production brewer in 2013, where his talent and passion for beer flourished.

In 2016, Matt spent a fall at Angry Orchard's production plant in upstate New York, experiencing smaller-scale brewing. This led to a Head Brewer position in Brooklyn, NY, where he had full control over the brewhouse, including recipe design, ingredient selection, and more. This experience ensures that we will always offer fresh, delicious beer in various styles. Outside of work, Matt married his wife Jenn in 2017, and they welcomed their first child in early 2020. He is also a diehard Philly sports fan, especially of the Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies.

  • Chief Marketing Officer

A little about the wizard behind the #McCallCoBeer social media curtain, @craigp17. I was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley and have been part of the McCall family since 6th grade, growing up with Chris, Matt, and Beth. Chris is like a brother and best friend, Matt is a beer-brewing brother, and Beth is the little sister destined for the big city. Mrs. McCall deserves infinite gratitude for raising us all, and Kaitlin has been a friend and sister for nearly a decade. This is what family should be.

Professionally, I have managed retail locations for Fortune 500 companies and helped businesses with their sales and marketing efforts. I love supporting local businesses like my barber @thecut_lv, @lazeezgrill for great food, and my gym @getfitlv. My wife Gina and I have visited several hundred craft breweries across the country and in Europe. Traveling is our passion, always planning around local craft breweries. I also took up cycling this summer and now ride over 100 miles a week. Locally, the craft beer and cycling communities are very close. I’m 6'2", lift weights, have many tattoos, and melt like butter when holding a kitten. Please don't run me over on the road—PA State Law requires a 4-foot buffer when passing cyclists.

  • Assistant Brewer

I graduated from Wilkes University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, where I met my wife and developed an interest in brewing. After college, I worked in a lab, but my passion for brewing and mixology led me to work at both a large commercial brewery and a smaller one. Most recently, I tended bar at County Seat in Easton.

Outside of work, I enjoy working out and cooking. At home, I love being silly with my 6-month-old daughter and spending time with my French Bulldog, Hank. I got to know the McCall brewing team through friends and working with Matt at a previous job. I'm excited to join the team as the head bartender and beverage coordinator, bringing you not just awesome beer, but also wine, cider, and fantastic cocktails. I look forward to introducing you to the full McCall Collective experience.

  • Creative Brand Manager

Sarah Peters, a founding member of McCall Collective Brewing Co., is the brains and creativity behind the McCall brand. Her involvement spans everything from assisting in beer names and concepts to creating hand-drawn and watercolored artwork, designing can labels, overseeing and photographing social media content, and crafting the overall look and feel of McCall’s. Fulfilling her dream of creating a space for people to bond and enjoy their free time, being part of the McCall family is one of her proudest accomplishments. If you stop into the Taphouse, you might also recognize her serving up beautiful pours behind the bar!

When not at McCall’s, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband Melvin and son Kelce, paddleboarding on the lake, hiking, enjoying live music and sporting events, or attending vintage car shows in their '73 VW Super Beetle.

  • Chef

  • Assistant Brewer

Born in Bethlehem and raised in Northampton, I graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in liberal arts and sciences. Before finding my true purpose at McCall Collective Brewing Co., I worked in various roles including insurance brokerage, staffing management, and business development.

Outside of work, I'm a fan of wrestling, Primus, mediocre movies, and enjoy spending time in fresh air and natural light. What I cherish most about working in this industry is the genuine camaraderie among staff and patrons alike, as well as the meaningful relationships I've cultivated along the way. I take great pride in contributing to the success of our brand.
